Surgery Round 2

I had to have wrist surgery again, so went in on 11/28. This time they had to fuse 3 of the bones together with pins along with another bone graft. For the first 2 weeks I had a partial soft cast.

Zac and Brandon climbed up and put the star on top of the tree ever so graciously!

We have a tradition of putting up the Christmas tree and decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. Brandon came to stay with us for the weekend just to hang out with Zac. I'd love to say they helped, but this was pretty much the extent of it! LOL

We always celebrate Zac's birthday by inviting the family over to celebrate! This year, we made chicken and rice hot dish with some side salads and dinner rolls! YUMMY!

When we got back from Arizona, Zac decided that he needed a haircut!

Phoenix, AZ

Zac has had the opportunity to play in a baseball tournament in Phoenix, so we headed to Arizona for a little family vacay! Here are a couple of pics I snapped in flight! Zac had the window seat and the weather was really nice so we had a good view pretty much the whole flight!

We flew in on Thursday afternoon, and shortly after checking into our hotel, we met up with the Luttman's and went out to dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill!

The baseball games were played at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, AZ. This is the home of Spring Training for the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners.

The first two baseball games were scheduled for Friday at 3:15 and 5:30 pm. The weather was nice but a little chilly!

After the games, we headed over to The Salty Senorita! It was an outdoor restaraunt, that had patio heaters, TVs, a Volleyball court, and horseshoes. (And delicious Margaritas for us adults!)

The next day, Saturday, was Zac's 15th birthday! They played one baseball game in which they won!
After baseball was done for the day, we headed back to the hotel to clean up and get ready to go out for Zac's birthday dinner at Hooters!

They were scheduled to play one more game on Sunday, but because it had rained all night, the fields were wet so they cancelled their game!
We decided to head to the Phoenix Zoo!

On Monday, our flight was scheduled to leave around 5:15pm, so that gave us time to do stuff!

We decided to take the kids to hike Camelback Mountain before heading to the airport. Shane and I didn't hike the mountain cuz he didn't want to get stinky and I didn't have proper attire! We hung out with a chicken that appeared out of no where.

We got to the airport to find out that our flight was delayed 2 hours! We landed safely in Minneapolis at about 11pm. Home Sweet Home.
