My haircut

I had been thinking about cutting my hair for quite some time now. Maybe going a little shorter, getting rid of all the unhealthy ends! I never want to be 'one of those' people with long hair whose hair looks completely scraggly and unhealthy so I decided it was time for a hair cut. I had been researching new hairstyles for some time.

Thinking about maybe going with the Nicole Richie bob:

But then I was turned on to Pinterest and found this super cute hairstyle:

So I forwarded this picture to my stylist and she agreed that this style would work with my hair type, etc.

I went in for my hair appointment on Tuesday, excited for my 'new do'!

When I sat in the chair, I had Jill take a before picture:

I was pleasantly surprised that my hair didnt look all that scraggly and unhealthy, in fact, I think it looks pretty!

So, on with the foils...

As I'm sitting in the chair waiting for my color to process, I'm starting to have second thoughts about chopping all my hair off. On one hand, it's just hair and it will grow back... On the other hand, i've been growing it out for a while now and enjoy it being long... I kept going back and forth and finally... I decided that it wasnt time to go quite so short. So Jill cleaned it up and cut a good three inches and gave me some fringe bangs. Here is the after picture:

Sno Daze

Zac invited Taylor, a freshman girl, to the Sno Daze dance at Blaine High School this year!

Happy New Year 2012

Since Shane and Zac were on an airplane on New Year's Eve heading back from Arizona, I joined Sherri and Ryan for their traditional (early dinner to avoid the crowd) New Year's evening.

We went to a fabulous little restaurant called the Town Hall Tavern in South Minneapolis. We got there around 5:30 pm and had appetizers and some fancy brew beers. Then we enjoyed yummy gourmet type hamburgers.

We were back to Sherri and Ryan's place by about 9:30 pm. We watched TV while we anticipated Shane & Zac's arrival.

Needless to say, put a few beers in me,  a full tummy and turn on the TV - i didn't last too long... I dozed off while waiting for Shane and Zac.

Right at 11:57 PM, my phone buzzed and it was a text from Shane that their flight had landed. So I headed off to the airport to pick up my hunnies!
