Sushi with your Poochi

At Target, I belong to a network called the Bow-Wow's. This is a network that sponsors various events for people and their dogs. Since Sophie doesn't typically enjoy socializing with other dogs, we haven't gone to any of the previous events. This month, they sponsored an event titled, "Sushi With Your Poochi" at Tiger Sushi in Uptown.

We made plans to go with Lindsay and Mila, Kim and Meeka, and Anne and Cookie (however Cookie's dad wouldn't let her go because she would have been too much of a handful for Anne to handle by herself - but Anne still decided to join us anyways!)

It was a pretty chilli night sitting outside on the patio at Tiger Sushi, but it was a lot of fun to see all of the different dogs that came out with their people to enjoy some Sushi! Enjoy the pictures!

Mila - sitting pretty!

Fall Ball

We have been waiting months for baseball to start back up, and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

It was a beautiful 90 degrees as Zach played 2 games today! The first game was played at noon, and Zach pitched most of the game.

As quoted on team website, "The starting pitchers, Zach Odden (Gm 1) and Tommy Polzin (Gm 2) overwhelmed the Blizzard Silver and Bronze teams in the first weekend of AFBL play.

Zach Odden pitched 4 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits while getting 6 strikeouts in his first appearance in a PHD uniform."

(They wore their RED Jerseys for the first game)

The second game started at 4:00pm, and Zach caught most of the game. He made some amazing plays behind the plate throwing out a steal at 2nd base, and then again at first base!

They wore their BLUE Jerseys for the second game

What a good day!

First Day of School

I cant believe that my baby is starting 10th grade today at Blaine High School! Among all of the classes he is taking first Trimester, I believe that Driver's Ed will probably be his favorite!

Here are the traditional first day of school photos taken on the front step!

I also sneaked a couple from my cell phone this morning as we were driving to school.

How is he growing up so fast???

Beautiful Rainbow

Shane, Zach and I were just getting ready to head out for dinner when we walked outside and saw this!

A beautiful rainbow! It was a FULL Rainbow - you could see the whole thing from one end to the other!
